James H. Quillen VA Medical Center MRI Addition

Mountain Home, TN

This small building is designed to provide a central location for diagnostic services for the James H. Quillen Medical Center. Featuring two MRIs and a future location for a PET scanner, the building connects to the main hospital with patient waiting, doubles as waiting for outpatient services, and provides a new and convenient entry for diagnostics. Though limited in scope, the waiting area assures that patients have a nice view to the exterior. In addition, the compact, modern building becomes a sculptural focal point in the large hospital courtyard.
