EIT Mechanical Engineer - Red Chair Architects is seeking an individual to fill a position that will perform HVAC, piping and fire protection design tasks under the supervision of a Sr. Engineer in an A/E firm. Responsibilities include performing cooling load calculations, designing duct layout drawings and writing specifications. Types of systems to be designed include chilled water systems, hot water systems, constant air-handling systems, variable volume air-handling systems and ventilation systems as well as geothermal. One to five years of experience in HVAC, piping and fire protection systems design desired. BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering. Knowledge of HVAC, piping and fire protection systems and International Building Codes. Must have excellent interpersonal skills for team work, professional writing skills, and be AutoCAD / Revit MEP literate. Healthcare, educational and commercial facility HVAC design experience highly desirable. EIT, PE registration track required.
